All Black Split-sole

Pros:

  • Helps with arch support, something I tend to need.
  • Very good for spins and pivots.
  • They are light and compact to carry around.

Cons:

  • Not made for wide feet. No wide size range.
  • Since they are a cloth material, they get dirty very easily.
  • In order for me to feel they’re secure on my feet I have to tie them uncomfortably tight.

Andrea’s overall rating: 7/10

Silver High-top

Pros:

  • They’re shiny. I love shiny.
  • Friendly on all types of floors.
  • Very good ankle support.

Cons:

  • I dislike that they make my foot look 2 sizes larger than they are.

All Black Low-top

Pros:

  • They go with everything.
  • I found them to be breathable.
  • No friction with skin.

Overall Takeaways

Fuego shoes looks to provide an all-in-one dance sneaker. They aim to be functional on all surfaces, and be worn from street to social to avoid bringing more shoes.

After our use, we find these claims to be true. For casino, we find them to be extremely comfortable and useful for all those pivots. Both of us struggle with arch and ankle support (high-tops), and these shoes do provide that. Insoles are removable and can be replaced with originals from the website or orthotics. Keep in mind they do carry half sizes, but not wide or narrow ranges. Both of us found them to run true to size.

Something wish was included with the purchase, is a shoe bag to be used for easy storage when traveling. For us dance travelers, it is beneficial to take less shoes since these work on all types of floors. Finally, we do wish the shoes were more affordable, so definitely try to take advantage of pre-orders, discount codes, and sales. However, they are comparable to most dance shoes on the market.
