Spotify List

Andrea songs:

Anda Diciendo by Los DJ Timberos, Manolito y su Trabuco

Right from the beginning I recognized the band. For me this is typical Manolito sound, elegant, strong, and danceable. The length is perfect for social dancing.

No Seas Tan Celoso (Live session) by Son Tentacion

I just love the vocals on this song. This isn’t quite danceable for me because it’s very long, but I would still dance to it. The beat is pretty steady and a good speed.

Huele a Mentira by Tumbakin
I’m a big Tumbakin fan. The first time I heard it was at a social, and it was so clear to me that this was Tumbakin. Vocals are very melodic. The buildup of the song is really nice.

Special Mentions:

  • Suave Tumbao Album- Pásale la Cuenta
  • Contra la Corriente by Septeto Acarey
  • Nada Sin Ti by Los 4
  • Silencio – Remix by Alexander Abreu, Velito el Bufon
  • A mi me gusta eso by Ricardo Amaray
  • Charanga por Siempre by Charanga Forever

Alexa:

La Princesa de la Timba by Manana Club

I’ve had this song stuck in my head since its release. The mention to all the other women in the Timba world felt really special and fit the theme of the song. There’s a lot of energy and confidence in the song which I love.

Pásale la Cuenta by Suave Tumbao

This whole album is great, but this song to introduce the album was a great choice. Keep Suave Tumbao on your radar because they’re music is super enjoyable. I love the accents from the metales and of course the tumbao (piano line). For me, this is the right amount of punchy and groovy.

Rumbero de Corazon by Clave Dura, Peter Barriz
I just have fun when hearing this song, and it is extremely catchy. There’s a vocal element that reoccurs throughout the song which is kinda funky (in a good way). I like that the breakaway moments leave dancers with different options whether they know Rumba or not.

Special Mentions:

  • Baja La Velocidad (LIVE) by Compota de Manana, Ahyvin Bruno
  • Me Dio Por Eso by Manolín, El Médico De La Salsa
  • Bailando con los Van Van by Son Dos, Los Van Van
  • Cali Parece Cubana by Orquesta Calibre
  • Bailarina by La Herencia, Alain Pérez
  • Nadie Pide Reggaetòn by Son Con Ron
