My favorite part?
Andrea
Sunday Party-There was a great amount of good dancers. Music was super great. And the ending is always crazy, they practically had to kick us out (in the best way possible).
Alexa
Mambo w/ Isaac – This was such a fun energetic class. I absolutely loved Isaac’s body percussion last year, so another class with him was a must. The class was super light-hearted with lots of dancing.
An Area of Improvement
Andrea
More Rueda de Tazas-I was sad to have missed the one hour of Tazas. I loved last year’s opportunity where everyone could join at once.
Alexa
A few more fans-It gets pretty hot in the space, so just a few more to help keep us all ventilated will help.
Overall Takeaways
Words hardly exist to describe this festival for us. This was the best way to round out our international travels of 2024. If you’ve never been to this festival you need to keep your eyes peeled for tickets in 2025. Both of us are already dreaming of going back, as this is EASILY both of our favorite festivals.
Thanks to the organizers who care about their attendees and make you feel special. You were a big reason we wanted to return. All of the volunteers who helped keep things running smoothly, thanks. Another thanks to our travel buddies from all over the world who we got to meet up with, laugh, chat, dance, especially Team USA who had 12 people this year.
If you’re looking for a festival with quality and fun classes, great social dancing and music, and a friendly environment, this is the one for you. We made so many more friendships than last year, and hope to see them on future travels.
Regarding the classes, there are 5 day 1 and 4 day 2. The later start time is great because people still stay late at the parties and can sleep for classes. The 2 hour lunch break was great to get some rest in. Everything ran on time this year. Just like last year they kept the demo format where all classes show their demos to the whole festival at the end of the class. We were both mega fans this year, and keep your eyes peeled for us in demo videos on social media. There were a lot of instructors from last year, which we had no problem with since we found a lot of them to be innovative and excellent instructors.
As for the parties, wow. Both of us danced a ton, and no bad dances. The music was great. Shout out to all the djs who played a diverse range of songs both modern and old and kept the dance floor alive. Fair warning if you ever go to bring a fan, because it gets TOASTY. Both of us felt good about the amount of space on the dance floor, it was a little crowded at peak hours, but nothing out of the ordinary. Lastly, we both appreciated that the performances did not eat up a huge chunk of the schedule and ran about what was expected and on time.
